A man loves a woman with desire ; Love with no desire ? Tinni, that's impossible. Even if you think of me as greedy, a sensualist or lustful ; 

whoever I love, I'll love her genuinely with whole being... flesh & blood. "Be devoted in love... but don't try to possess the beloved." - This theory is not mine. I'm absolutely a living man with hunger, thirst, desires and passions. 

Midnight stirs me up, the flute of desire plays and I rush from one room to another. Before I met you, other than the thirst for a painting, I had no significant thirst. I felt the same way all men do when they see a woman - I won't say that I never had the desire to touch a woman's body ; however, this is the first time I have had such an intense desire to possess a woman completely.   

On the first day of college, I developed a crush on a girl. Gradually, the girl also started to like me. We grew closer to each other – getting to know each other and falling in love little by little. In between our studies, we make time to meet, chat, talk and go to the movies. Both of us had excellent results in our B.A. Part One exams. We decided that we would get married after completing our M.A. 

We have been together for three consecutive years, yet neither of us has misbehaved. We never did anything other than holding hands and gazing into each other's eyes with wonder. I really wanted to put my lips on hers. But we had both decided that we would share our first kiss on our wedding night.  

So even though we were so close, the two bodies never touched each other. Perhaps there was a high sense of idealism in the love of that time. That being said, I am not saying that those who come together out of love and develop a physical intimacy are criminals. Nor am I saying that they are devoid of principles. We felt that we would engage in a physical relationship only after marriage, so even though we had the desire, we refrained from and stayed away from this matter. 

I love you. I want to tell you everything. You should know about my past. However, we did not get together. The bud of first love withered before it could blossom into a flower. Yes, her name is Srishti. Srishti's mother practically forced her into marriage. Her husband lives in London. He is a doctor by profession.  

Srishti's mother was a history professor at a college in Alipore. She never objected to our interactions; therefore, we never realized anything was amiss. As soon as the B.A. Part One results were released, Srishti's mother sent her to London. That is where she got married to Altaf Hossain.   

After that, it was impossible to maintain any contact. I was devastated and lost in pain after losing her. I took a two-year break from my studies. Then I started studying again. Srishti's father, however, wanted to accept our love, but her mother did not. ...I suffered immensely. Wherever I looked... I could only find Srishti. After seeing you, after spending time with you, my feelings have been oxidized... You stand fertile upon the alluvial soil of Srishti. You are my companion today and my life companion forever.
